My new body of work looks at the iconic image of the Geisha and its continuing fascination as an art form. In particular, the isolation of the Geisha and how they live their lives mainly away from the public gaze. I have tried to capture the beauty, elegance, isolation and perhaps loneliness? - trying to render a serenity and stillness. The Geisha appear to float on the surface and it is intentional that they are not integrated into the background.
All works are original and are signed and dated.
